Hours after Tyler O’Neill’s third home run in three games landed in team’s bullpen, Cardinals coaches convened as they do nightly to discuss that day and the plans for the next. The afterglow of O’Neill’s four RBIs and two hits Monday night was strong enough, as manager Mike Matheny recalled the next day, that there was consensus among the coaches.
