Cardinals outfielder Marcell Ozuna was a late scratch from the starting lineup prior to Wednesday's I-70 Series finale against the Royals. Manager Mike Matheny said Ozuna arrived late to Busch Stadium after sleeping in. Tyler O'Neill started in left field in Ozuna's place.

Cardinals left fielder Marcell Ozuna, the team's cleanup hitter and a pivotal part of the offense, overslept Wednesday morning and did not arrive at the ballpark until after the game had started and he had already been scratched, punitively, from the lineup.
