Former Cardinals Draft Selections Playing In College 2-22-18: Matt Vierling Singles Twice, Walks, Drives In One Run, & Strikes Out Two Of Three Batters Faced In Doubleheader; Cadyn Grenier Collects Three Singles, One RBI, & Scores Four Runs



Joe Gillette (former 2013 draft selection-Menlo College) has played in 17 games going 22-for-60 (.367) with three doubles, one triple, three home runs, 16 RBIs, 11 runs, 16 walks, four stolen bases, one hit by pitch, 14 strikeouts, .506 OBP, and .600 SLG.

Cadyn Grenier (former 2015 draft selection-Oregon St) started at shortstop and batted second.  3-for-5 with one RBI and four runs.

Oregon st beat Nebraska 9-1

Matt Vierling (former 2015 draft selection-Notre Dame) started at third base and moved to pitcher, batting fourth.  1-for-3 with one RBI, one run, and one walk.  Entered in the ninth and pitched to three batters allowing one hit, no runs, and struck two out.

Notre Dame beat St. Louis 7-3 

Matt Vierling (former 2015 draft selection-Notre Dame) started in centerfield and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with one walk.

Incarnate Word beat Notre Dame 5-3
