Former Cardinals Playing In The Mexican League 8-17-17: Pedro Rodriguez Strikes Out One Over One Hitless/Scoreless Inning For The Hold; Niko Vasquez Doubles & Walks; Richy Pedroza Singles



Pedro Rodriguez (former MiLB signing-Yucatan) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs, and struck one out for the hold (1).  (p-s:9-6)(g/f:2-0)

Dan Johnson (former St. Louis-Leon) started as designated hitter and batted fifth.  0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
Niko Vasquez (former Springfield-Leon) started a shortstop and batted sixth.  1-for-2 with one double, one run, and one walk.

Yucatan beat Leon 5-1

Zach Phillips (former Memphis-Monclova) entered in the seventh and pitched 1.1 innings.  He allowed three hits, no runs, one walk, and struck one out.  (p-s:31-18)(g/f:1-0)(ir-s:1-1)

Monterrey beat Monclova 6-3

Richy Pedroza (former Peoria-Aguascalientes) started at shortstop and batted second.  1-for-3 with one sacrifice and assisted in one double play.

Aguascalientes beat Tijuana 3-2
